Maybe because I heard the different variation first, but I like the punchline “…they hit the second tower” a bit more
As a reminder, while we try to “never forget” 9/11, we tend to “kick the can down the road” regarding issues of society, civil rights, and other systemic racism issues.

There’s an old diss where you make fun of someone by saying “year called, they want their style back”. This comic is riffing off of that idea by referring to 2001, when the world trade center in New York City was destroyed in a terrorist attack on September 11th
