Did the math and they’d have 70% of the world’s prison population right now. The math US incarceration rate is 541 per 100k people If China had the same incarceration rate, 1419321278×0.00541=7676700 prisoners Global prison population is 11 million (7676700/11)*100=70% In reality, it’s at 16%; less than the US despite a 5x higher population.
