I’ve started a commitment to disengage with enshitification. Sequels only if movie 1 deserves it and was released in the past few years. I dont need to waste time on E.T. 2 or Home Alone 5.
Counterargument: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is fantastic.
The other 10 sequels the same month weren’t.
Most that is released is mass produced trash, sequel or not. But for sure there’s a bunch of sleazy suits trying to make a buck off nostalgia and name recognition, there’s no disputing that.

Yeah, I think the comic version works for the comic, but it would have been hard to work that into a movie.
It’s just more convoluted.
The animation is incredibly stiff. Same poor quality animation from the recent Batman series as well. It’s painful to see.
