It’s only federal numbers and I think they might be a few years out of date but I’m too lazy to check.

If we had god-damn Approval Voting you could literally just vote for everyone but the evil candidate and that would actually help everyone else and hurt them. “Anybody but Dr. Evil” would be a legit PAC interest group.
I like Approval Voting for single-winner elections and Sequential Proportional Approval Voting. Approval is way easier than RCV in every sense (RCV is complex enough to disenfranchise minorities) and it gets more accurate results because it doesn’t have spoilers (RCV actually does, they’re just different than what you’re used to).
Approval is great for third parties because their full support in the final results, which RCV doesn’t always do. Those results are important because they influence voters in the next election, helping little parties build up legitimacy even when they lose.
It’s currently in use in Fargo and St. Louis, and of course they’re very happy with it.
As far as the other comment suggests, it wasn’t so much a case of choosing to die or choosing a ridiculous “treatment” but just getting unlucky with having step go real bad in a hurry.
The Florida reprocessing plant was an absolute mess. So many people were getting ridiculous exposure levels from that place and dying young.
Really, just stop subsidizing the shit out of it.
Everything alive today is the pinnacle of evolution.
Yeah, sucks doesn’t it?
He’s had to fill in with match footage because he lost access to the auction house guns after trying to set up that deal. He has access to a lot fewer old firearms these days.
Karl is still making videos, but Ian is not a part of IRTV anymore.
For sure, which is why I only use Mint anyway. I need my hand held. But Linus was doing power-user things without power-user reading. You can’t really claim the car is no good when you opened the hood and started swapping hoses without checking to see what goes where.
Off the top of my head:
-Sold a bunch of merch that was comically oversized and left everyone stuck with unusable product.
-Tried to arrange a deal under the table on an auction gun he got a look at before it went up.
-Doesn’t help his teammates reset stages when at a shooting competition.
-Failed to stand up for Karl when ARFCOM was making up lies about him.
-Failed to give IRTV credit for organizing a 2GAC match, when that’s basically the only request they make for media.
-Took on Lucas Botkin as a sponsor.
-Copy-pasted brutality rules for his own spin-off match after falling out with Karl, and doing such a poor job he left in references to the venue or IRTV (I can’t remember which).
-When asked why he was selling merch with a picture of himself that he hated, shrugged and said “money.”
-Treats his wife more like “the help.”
-Generally just thinks he’s better than you and you don’t deserve his respect.
-Abuses copyright takedown requests.
-Removes comments critical of him on his YouTube channel but claims doing so for other people was not possible (Karl, when ARFCOM happened).
-Has expressed deep distain for his own audience.
There’s more but that’s all I can remember right now.
Edit: I should say that he’s generally pretty good at keeping this stuff out of the public eye, these are mostly only things you hear if you know the right people.
Forgotten Weapons: Used to have videos on very cool old guns with interesting historical backgrounds and whatever. Then he made a series of selfish decisions that demonstrated what kind of person he really was, and I no longer had any interest in even helping him through the algorithm.
I love guns, but… Bro… Don’t do that.
Too bad about him, his passion for old electronics made me interested when I don’t have any particular interest of my own.
Shad is constantly trying to get one over on his co-hosts to the point where it’s difficult to watch. Always has to win. I liked learning about how castles worked a hundred times more.
Linus uninstalled his desktop after ignoring the warning that said °hey, this will uninstall your desktop.°
Yeah absolutely zero newbies are going to buy a new computer in order to test out Linux.
I use KdenLive on Mint whenever I need to edit a video. I’ve never bothered to look for the other two because I use Darktable and GIMP for my photo editing, but I can check to see if they’re available if you want me to.
Technically no, but it’ll never happen.
The way the parties nominate candidates for president is an absolute mess, but the nominations aren’t official until the parties hold a closed convention with delegates who vote for candidates to be the nominee. Back in the day these delegates used to actually be the people who decided who got nominated. These days they’re more like a ceremonial role, with a lot of them (I think) being required to vote in line with the way people voted in their state’s primary.
Anyway, I’d have to look it up to be 100% sure, but I’m pretty sure enough delegates have some kind of autonomy that it’s possible they could nominate someone other than Biden. Who they would end up agreeing on…? Heck if I know.
I dunno about you guys, but I didn’t believe it for a second when he said he was going to be one term. Shame on him for lying, even if it was obvious.
I think the phone market should also be broken up.
The reason a doupoly is bad in any market is that it’s essentially next to no choice for the consumer, and the businesses can force changes to the market that are anti-consumer with little reprocussion. In any given market the minimum number of legitimate competitors necessary for meaningful competition will be different, but even three is too few in the web browser game, especially when the market shares look like this.
I’m pretty sure it’s ridiculously hard to stop government projects in your backyard there. The best you can do is refuse to sell your land.
