This is a fact that I wish more humans embraced. We are all different, we can’t help but be born as we are physically or who we’re attracted to. We can only choose to make better choices for the world and those around us!

While it’s true that the Palestinians don’t support members of the LGBTQ community as a whole; Letting them be killed by Israel without speaking up or advocating for a ceasefire is a bad thing in my opinion! As a gay man, I don’t support Israel’s choice to successfully carry out a genocide for the sake of slaking their hatred. It’s inhumane and would only prompt other dubious, morally bankrupt individuals to violate the social contract by organizing a genocide of their own. Israel needs to face the consequences of their actions, not only for the sake of those in the Gaza Strip who are suffering in inhumane conditions; also for those who would be made a target for a genocide as well and are barely protected by the social contract.

I agree with the idea that NC has a chance to go blue this cycle; as Mark Robinson is a disgusting force in the MAGA space. He is one of the most vile that MAGA GOP have allowed to represent them. I can only hope people wake the fuck up and vote in favor of their interests instead of against themselves. In the past, at least some of the MAGA era scum have been a bit less vile (still people who were ethically impaired). Mark Robinson makes JD Vance look relatively tame if you put them side by side, that really says a lot about Mark.

They’re gradually phasing out the iTunes PC App…Apple has divided the functions of iTunes into several focused apps. The second reason why I’d love to get a Mac Mini is to get my music redownloaded. I didn’t back up my tunes on another hard drive, which was a beginner mistake. I did upload it to Apple Music, though.

ROFL Dual booting with Microsoft being as shitty as they are…Yeah, no. I very much am 100% committed to Linux on my Desktop. I might only make a small concession to getting a Mac Mini for iPhone management.

Before I had access to the internet; These were basically my, ‘Don’t die, eat something easy’ list of relatively quick foods back in the darkest, deepest depression days (turns out my brain chemistry reacts horribly to antidepressants and antipsychotics). I was just an anxious dude that didn’t know it due to being heavily medicated.

That annoyed me with Windows too, however, Active Hours adjusted to the times that I actively used my PC. As I kept my PC up to date and never kept it running while not in use for too long, I’ve never been threatened with a forced restart randomly. That being said, a user should have full control over their PC. They will though in turn be responsible for any poor outcomes due to making poor decisions.

I ended up choosing a Linux distro over Windows because I have absolute control over my PC at all times. Freedom to modify, to potentially break, but also easily recover my distro if I truly fuck up.

I haven’t specifically seen anyone go off the rails when it comes to emoji usage on Lemmy; I can only comment on my particular feelings about emoji: Like any tool, emoji can be used in ways which are confusing. However, the value of these little images conveying additional context to written text is useful. There is so much of the personal voice which is lost with written words, unadorned with body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions. Emoji are like a written solution to this issue (for those that don’t pick up on context on words alone). I am fine with the usage of emoji.

I don’t know, I think they wanted that Google money so much they didn’t bother! It might have been in the cards, but perhaps Google beat them to the punch and evaporated their desire to create a search engine. Search engines are likely not a business that Apple wants to get too involved in as well, that’s something to consider. Sometimes it’s better to use what is already out there and not sink too much capital in something so uncertain. I doubt Apple would’ve seen a serious amount of success with Google being the top dog in search.

LOL Yeah, I get it…Thus my non-serious response. Who know why people do anything? Personally, I can’t downvote, as it seems to be disabled by my current server. There have only been a few times that I’ve seen a post or comment really need a good old downvote. There are capable orgs out there, for now, I suppose in their perspective it is only Mozilla who could handle it. However, open source code can be read and seen by anyone, so that means there are people out there familiar enough with Firefox to take it on if needs must when the devil drives.
