Yeah, 2x4s aren’t even 2"x4" anymore, more like 1.5"x3.5", but the name has still stuck.

As an American, I use the metric system whenever possible. As of more recently, it’s usually taught in schools, as well as used ubiquitously in science. I wouldn’t be surprised if the US switches to primarily using the metric system in the next few decades.
Bring back RTGs! They’ve already proven their use in pacemakers.
Sure would be a shame if another targeted assassination was carried out… I might even cry a little (don’t look too closely, I’m not laughing, I’m crying).
What do you mean??? WikiHow is a collection of only the most reliable tutorials and information. Now be good and install the shady app.
Photovoltaics have left the chat.
I think there’s just a big fanbase here. I just ended up blocking the Star Trek communities; no hate towards them, but I don’t watch the show so it was needless clutter to me.
I’ve heard good things about privacy.sexy.
Got too distracted by the random lowercased "i"s to actually read the comic.
I wouldn’t, but I would know if it didn’t work and that’s pretty much the same thing.
Do I have to ensure I’m still born? If not, I choose the last common ancestor of modern humans. We’ve screwed things up enough that I think the world would clearly be better off without us.
My guess would be that the hypertonicity of the salt water causes water to move out of your nose’s tissues through osmosis, reducing swelling, while the water clears out the mucus and stuff clogging it up.
Technically speaking with enough power you’d start burning yourself, which would probably increase your risk of cancer. Of course the radiation from your laptop is orders of magnitude below what is required to cause burns, and so any that happens to be absorbed by your body is dissipated harmlessly as heat.
Better yet, I’m buying an oxygen mask and several layers of winter clothes and going to Titan. Can probably walk around for a few minutes before freezing to death!
That’s pretty much been my experience too. I’ve messed around with it a bit, but put no effort into finding actual uses for it. And I don’t really feel like doing so because it all seems like a big cash grab. I’m glad some people find it useful though.
I’m not taking their offer, better certain death than an unknown.
Yeah, it’s near the edge for sure but the Earth is still clearly above the horizon.
Just make sure the exponential growth is faster than Moore’s law, or they might never notice it.
Oh well boots up Minecraft singleplayer.
It’s not really about “attracting” asteroids, it’s more about their orbital trajectory happening to intersect the Earth’s at the right time. I think the Moon’s gravity is about as likely to redirect an asteroid towards the Earth as it is away, but the Moon also physically intercepts some asteroids, so the net effect would be a slight decrease in Earthly asteroid impacts.
