I can’t say there is one. Every time i think to myself something like “goddamn, this person is immature” I remind myself that there’s a high number of immature adults in the world including myself, so…?

i stuck it out past the protest up until the day the company went public, and I can testify without any doubt that the downward spiral increased dramatically post protest. It got so bad that even though I go back to check my local sub, I haven’t once felt tempted to create a new account. I began to dread any actual interaction with other accounts
It’s arguably been been fucked at least as far back as Citizen’s United if not longer. Once they opened the floodgates for legalized bribery, there was no coming back.
I found his video on FPTP Binary political systems video to be logically flawed and I think it ultimately caused more harm than good. It’s irritating to see people reference it in political discussions today. That eventually convinced me to stop giving him views.
I like him but his mental health issues remind me why it’s probably a bad idea to play around with mercury as much as he did.
EEVBlog. The guy is a brilliant electrical engineer but his arrogance prevents him from realizing that his electrical engineering intelligence doesn’t translate to other unrelated subjects. I tuned into a live-stream of his once and he started to discuss international geopolitics. His views were ill-informed and half-baked at best. When a couple of viewers (not including myself) simply requested he change subjects, he became indignant and started telling people not to tell him what to do on his own YouTube channel. He eventually told his viewers to leave if they don’t like what he had to say. So I did. I have not watched one of his videos since. I did watch Adam Something’s witty rebuttal to his video that reviewed and criticized one Adam Something’s videos.
Back when I moved over to linux I wanted to get away from the mainstream. Fedora/Red Hat were too mainstream for me at the time but I have never had any real objections to it. I eventually ended up settling on Debian and ever since then i’ve stuck with descendants of that distro because having the same toolchains of software as Debian makes transitioning distros slightly easier.

I know That’s a fairly common experience elsewhere. I have a cousin who is a fourth of his name. I think he or his wife understood the twisted family dynamic that came with playing favorites like that because they didn’t carry on the tradition when they had their son.
Yes. Flatpak, not Snap.
[addedum] it has been my daily driver since I switched away from Kubuntu a few years back for the aforementioned reason.
The ability to rest in climate control is going to give them an unfair advantage.
FTFY
That is correct. We cannot.
AARGH!
Yeah, the stats regarding population size is one general aspect of a very large and complex issue. For example at least one of the countries reporting no homelessness is still reported to practice indentured-servitude as a form of modern-day slavery -which would take the place of most vulnerable
You can learn a lot about a country by looking at how they treat their most vulnerable.
Remember “It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it!”
It’s just calculus where admittedly my own education stopped but it’s still very helpful in finding values in real-world things like change of value in time. I still hope to one day develop a working knowledge of it, myself. u/…mir below me did a good job of summarizing the two main introductory concepts in much the same way i’ve read others simplify and describe the subject in classic 100+ yr old books like “Calculus Made Easy by Sylvanus Thompson.” I suspect it’s not as intimidating as it seems once a person gets past some basic fundamental concepts.
Don’t feel too bad. This meme appears be aimed at people who specialized in advanced mathematics in college which are a small minority.
bunny rabbits are a renewable resource.
