  • Thanks for typing out the percentages, so far I’ve only seen emotional news reports about it without any detailed info.

Are these tariffs on ALL goods from a certain country? Eg, does 34% on China mean 34% on ALL Chinese goods or just certain ones like cars?

Well, one of two things will happen now.

    • The US economy will recede by roughly 30% over the coming years (classified by economists as “catastrophic collapse”)

    • It will turn out that trade was “fake and gay” all along and autarky is the way to go, despite centuries of historic lessons to the contrary.

    Take your pick.

  • I thought it was kinda cool he was mad at Trump for 24 hours straight. This shit takes a lot of physical effort, especially for a 55 year old.

Highly performative though. Not saying it was useless, because it definitely was a statement. It was not yet a "step in the right direction, but at least a “slight bend of the neck to maybe someday start looking in the right direction”. Now I would like every other congressional Democrat to follow it up with something. Furiously voting against absolutely everything the MAGA terrorists propose, no matter what. Call Mike Johnson a cuck live on C-Span, every day. Lock MTG in the bathroom. Create 100 policy proposals for the docket, every day and from everyone until the .txt list is 500 Petabyte big.

Shut congress down. Completely, until Trump is gone. This is war.

  • Not saying you’re automatically wrong, but that is 36 days old, which is 5 years in Trump years. A lot more people have been fired since then. More telling, Republicans just recently prevented a snap election in an usually safe district for fears their party might lose it. Even if Trump’s personal approval is high (and 44% is not exactly convincing either), the GOP as a whole seems in deep trouble.

Meh. This meme is straight up lifted from /pol/, and people there usually go “I voted for this EXACTLY” when news break about how foreigners are abducted from streets and Vance is preparing for an ideological war with Europe.

“Moderates” and old geezer Republicans fell for his lies (again), big surprise. You won’t find them here. The people who made this meme (originally about Israel by the way) only lament how Trump has still not publicly executed Obama and Pelosi.

Well, you can’t vote fascists out, but historically speaking they’ve always been voted IN. Authoritarianism is always a degeneration of liberalism. When people get fat and lazy, shit like this happens. Weak men creating hard times ect.

This made me so mad I actually looked up my representative and wrote her how impotent this stunt was. Of course, “writing your representative” is just as pathetic, but SOMEONE had to hear about my anger. Kudos to Al Greene though. The old geezer stood up for all of us, literally.
