As a “gamer” and game developer, this is sound advice.
They are very precise, cover the whole french territory, are all in the same format, follow the same standards and the paper maps are not too expensive. There are topographical maps at a 1:25000 scale, and roadmaps at a 1:250000 scale. And these paper maps are as sturdy as they can be, my dad has been rocking some of them for almost his entire life.
I guess I just get too excited about state funded institutions that provide good service to the public and still exist in 2024. Them paper maps can really be a lifesaver when you’re hiking in the more remote parts of France though
Also IGN (Institut géographique national) maps are amazing
It depends on the keyboard. I’ve used some in the past that tied that feature to the current language
Someone didn’t listen to Rage Against the Machine in highschool (in “Wake up” they read an excerpt from one of these memos. It blew my mind when I finally understood the lyrics fully years later)
Eh, I’d still call it a win by Boeing’s standards
Meh. Imo anyone comparing an integer to a float and not expecting one of them to be implicitly casted to the other’s type will create that issue for themselves when doing the same thing with an explicit cast.
Agreed. But the less experienced programmers I know are surprisingly naive about this.
That makes sense, but then you’d just have people converting the int to a float manually and run into the exact same issues.
Yeah they have some cool gadgets and designs, but this kind of shit + the software side has always kept me away from the brand
I thought this was covered by “This is America” /s
Who needs 1000hz 4k when 120hz 2k is already stupidly expensive to achieve with most AAA games
I’d be willing to bet that they are doing this to prepare for an eventual Total War : Warhammer 40K.
The UI looks more “slick”, and it is censored, so your portfolio or whatever you want to showcase isn’t displayed alongside some MLP porn or pregnant Sonic comics. Which doesn’t mean there isn’t tons of “artistic nudity” on the site though, last time I checked.
I’m not an artist myself but I know the artists in my industry (videogames) love to use it
I’d argue all the humans left when artstation became big. All my artists friends used to upload their (non porn) work to deviantart before artstation was popular. But banning the porn was the first nail in the coffin for sure.
Imo, as soon as you write it as 0.25 multiplied by a fraction it works, because you can then easily see that it’s the same as (1/4)*2
Yeah I was gonna comment that 0.25*(1/0.5) = 0.5 doesn’t look nearly as weird
Joke’s on you, there is no mistake in your comment.
I want mine to just scream “AAAAAAA-” continuously and base the volume on the speed
