The left in the US needed to do something similar to redmap, basically take over the party from the ground up. Field leftist candidates in every position at every level. School boards, dog catchers, literally everything all the way up to president. maga started this decades ago, and it’s why they have so many people in influential positions now. The left got outsmarted, outmanoeuvred, and beaten to the punch. And it’s quite likely too late for them to do anything about it politically as the US political system doesn’t look like it’s going to survive much longer.
…only the blunt instrument of state violence will remain…
We’ll be there any minute now.
Buying property in the middle of nowhere is genx shit. I’d have to go 4 hours outside of nowhere before land prices started becoming realistically affordable, but I’m one of those entitled millenials who expects to live somewhere where I can also have a job.
It’s just another one of the millions of little ways Americans get screwed. I lived in the US for quite a few years and it was a shitshow. Here in Australia, the government provides a portal for filing your taxes (and pretty much all government services - just a single portal). All your info is pre-filled, you just add any additional undeclared income or deductions you want and submit. Unless you’re dealing with millions of dollars, the whole process takes 10 minutes.
What types of inputs do you need? So far all I can find in Australia is 1 to many all HDMI. Worst case scenario you might need a bunch of speciality whatever to HDMI adaptors and feed them all into a HDMI switch.
If it’s the only one available for use, and everyone has to pay musk to use it. You’re not thinking like an oligarch!
It’ll become profitable after musk bans the use of any other AI in the US.
Anyone acting surprised wasn’t paying attention when before the election. Vance said if the courts try to stop them they’ll just ignore the courts. Here we are. Did the water in this pot just get a little warmer?
Well that’s not funny at all…
Well this is confusing as hell. I think ditching pennies is a great idea, but I despise trump and maga and agreeing with anything he wants to do feels incredibly icky!
I lived there through the Obama years, and saw the hope so many had that the future would be brighter. I also saw the right wing driven to insanity by the audacity of their fellow countrymen voting for a black president. They’ll never forgive that offence. And they’re going to fight to the death to make sure it never happens again. No matter how badly trusk fuck the country, it will always be acceptable to them, because at least they’re not black or a woman.
Unintended consequences??? But thus far all the trusk policies have been so well thought out and flawlessly executed!
Agreed. I don’t think Biden was perfect, not by a long shot, but he got a massive amount of legislation passed that was helping average Americans, and the media, the general population, and even his own party gave him very little in the way of recognition or thanks. I wasn’t expecting much from his presidency at the outset, but I think ultimately he was one of the most successful and productive presidents in modern history.
Depressing is right. I consider the US a failed state now.
When I was a kid, people would get jobs, then stay in those jobs for years and years, getting promotions and raises. Then they’d buy things like new cars, houses, and vacations, just with the money they earned by working their jobs. So I thought that that is how life would work for me. Boy was I wrong!
I imagine a lot of them feel very threatened, for themselves and their families. There’s not a lot of evidence that if maga decided to just start locking up anyone who causes them inconvenience, there would be any authority coming to your aid. It’s survival at this point for them.
Wasn’t arguing with what you were saying, just that your delivery was Tyler Durden levels of theatrical and inspirational. It was a thumbs up. 👍
The sooner we shut down the CDC, the sooner we can stop worrying about this shit! (/s)
I don’t like it. Far too real.
