She didn’t have a chance as soon as she gave up trying to convince her base to vote FOR her. Biden got ten million more votes because he lied about reforming the cops, dealing with Covid, not doing genocides in the Middle East, etc. Harris could have fucking lied about those things and won.

It is utterly wild to me that Biden had to withdraw from the race because he was so unpopular and the Harris team was like, let’s just tie ourselves as snugly to that man as possible. Real brain geniuses on that team. I just read she was relying on a ex uber exec. And it all made sense.

So account for the people who didn’t show up. Harris lost because no one was enthusiastic about her enough to show up. Biden had millions more votes than Harris.

I voted for her. I’m just dxing the problem, which is enthusiasm. Stop apologizing for their shitty campaign. They should have continued to attack Trump and co a weird. Keep Walz at the front of the campaign. And run on ending the Genocide and improving people’s lives.

I felt my enthusiasm drop for Harris every time she made it clear that she didn’t give a damn about progressives. I still voted, but it is obvious that the electorate didn’t buy her bipartisan and it in fact depresses the electorate. The results speak for themselves.

I’m with you. But our primary system fucking sucks and it disenfranchises people based on the staggered timings. I was so motivated for Warren and a ton of people I know were. But Biden had won by the time most people got a chance to vote, including me.

The timing thing I guess is interesting for giving people time to adjust but I would prefer a system where it was one day and one person one vote.

I absolutely agree with you 100%. That still doesn’t address the fact that many people were less likely to vote for Harris if she continued to want to arm Israel. The stick of Trump was effective for getting yours and mine vote. Some other people needed the carrot of ending the Gaza Genocide. If they would have done the right thing, they had a chance of motivating those voters.

I listen to a lot of their shows, and I think “Weird Little Guys” is the best of them. And I just love “Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff”. But Molly Conger is just so good. The music is perfect, the narration is good, the stories… umm suck but they are important to know about, it is funny, I’ve cried multiple times, etc. “Weird Little Guys” just is so fucking good.

I’m also an elder millennial and I learned about it from the incredible podcast “Weird Little Guys”. I cannot recommend it enough. Such a good show.
