I got my parents a laser as well and evidently I picked a shitty one because they are planning to go back to the other side 😞

That sounds like a nightmare
Yeah when I read that I was like, so all I have to do to get medical records is call and ask? Like I don’t even have to have any affiliation apparently.
You’re welcome!
Definitely Icy Tower
Also, not really a video game, but those desktop destroyer type games. I’m not sure what any of them were called but it was a fun waste of time in my computer class.
Yes. I have been dealing with it for a long time myself and thankfully it hasn’t spread. I can’t comment on if that’s what you are dealing with or not however.
You bring up an excellent point that I hate very much
True…but that was still decades ago
I’m very confused that this is happening now. I thought it happened a long time ago (them being found liable I mean). It’s crazy to me that it’s taken this long for such a pitiful punishment. It is good though that people are being reminded once again how shitty they are. Maybe we can impact their bottom line somehow (doubtful)
I find it interesting that the same people who say college is too expensive to publicly fund will support these programs where some K-12 tuition is as much or more than college tuition
I ended up ranting a bit so feel free to ignore this comment 🫣
It’s so shitty too because even if you spent years or even decades paying your bills on time, if you hit a few hard months you are completely fucked. None of these companies, not the government, not even the community gives a shit. Everyone just tells you to apply for food stamps, go to a food bank, apply for section 8, etc etc, without realizing that (at least where I am) they actively vote for and support policies that prevent most people from accessing those things. Not to mention food banks have so much moldy shit it’s not worth standing in line for 5+ hours to get nothing edible and then have to go to a different place next week because god forbid you go to the same food bank twice in a month. And then section 8… So many places their waitlists are closed for 10-20 years! If you get accepted during that time you still have to apply, find a participating landlord, and jump through 5,000 hoops before you can even plan to move in somewhere. And don’t get me started on healthcare!
It’s ridiculous how much rebuilding takes, at least in the US, and how much racism and classism plays into it.
I went to NOLA like 5 years after Hurricane Katrina and most of the houses I saw in “certain” (poor) neighborhoods still had the spray paint on them from first responders. Also one of the (predominantly black) universities there I don’t think had fully rebuilt either at that point while the other (predominantly white) university had just gotten a new sports field.
I just can’t imagine being in a war torn place where much of the world hardly acknowledges you as a human and trying to rebuild your community.
It just blows my mind every day the cruelty in this world - and the fact that there are so many genocides happening simultaneously. I still remember when I was a small child finding out that WW2 did not hold the only genocide the world had ever or would ever see. I still can’t quite wrap my head around it.
Same issues in my neck of the woods. Since they all feel the same why I tend to pick the ones that at least talk to (some) residents.
And then there’s me. I hate the smell of cold chicken but loveeee cooked chicken.
I believe you are looking for this
I know it’s still online, but I’m not sure if you’ve done this already. I personally join community groups on Facebook and see how they interact with people. It’s been quite telling.
What really sucks is my local politicians are very outwardly partisan, even though the positions are supposed to be nonpartisan. The surprising thing is that there are more liberalish residents than I expected. Unfortunately it’s just not enough to change what we get.
And that is just the product title
They both start with C, so it sounds legit.
