In my state there were literally not other options. We had a single candidate primary.
I understand, but how is it viable, from the standpoint of the opposition, to be anything other than a unified party in opposition if there’s no chance to bargain for a position in a coalition government, to form a coalition to win an election to make a new government, etc? That doesn’t make any sense, why would anyone split like that?
No, the executive is compartmentalized and voted for separately, so there’s no dissolution of parliament, negotiations over forming a government, etc. Seems like a small difference, but structurally it’s a large and impactful distinction.
Wait do other people really not get that this is sarcasm?

No he doesn’t realize that, the Foxosphere hasn’t adopted that position yet.
Wow so glad this is the lesser evil I’ll have to vote for. Fuck this country man.
Huh. Maybe people think this is some kind of British imposition? But like, it’s not.
Idk why you’re being downvoted, the country chose to be The Gambia, post independence, in order to avoid confusion with Zambia. Unless this changed after the fall of Jammeh?
The part where the US isn’t THE city on the hill probably lol
Noooooo this was a uniquely American phenomenon. We definitely didn’t fare better than comparable countries, and conservatives definitely aren’t forgetting that other countries exist… again.
It used to be (before digital TVs, flat-screen, etc) that you didn’t have the option of switching inputs, so you would have to go to channel 3, which doubled as the “input” channel also. This would be like, for example, NES or Sega.
This meme’s so old I couldn’t drink when it came out.
Assshire? Seems like a lot of "s"s.
Not to detract from the sentiment, but automatic firearms have been fully banned in the USA for 40 years now and have been illegal in most of the country since the 1930s.
Not sure about other states, but in my state you can agree to mandatory arbitration for past incidents as long as they don’t do reeeeeally egregious behavior like, eg, slipping a notice into your normal bills and having you “agree” by not objecting within X days.
Actually I’m the oldest! I just had a lot of games that weren’t exactly cutting edge at the time lol
