Kind of disappointed that it’s not a permissive license but still glad that it’s at least somewhat available to the community.

Dearrow replaces clickbait titles and thumbnails for videos with non-clickbait equivalents. Users volunteer for updating titles using the same add-on that reflects for everyone else worldwide.

Video thumbnails are replaced by a random frame by default but you can submit a more appropriate frame as well.

For me the holy trinity is:

• ublock Origin
• Sponsor block
• Dearrow

Reading the article, it looks a lot more like The Terminal Man.

Use piped or invidious instead perhaps.

Alternately, disenshittify YouTube using addons like DeArrow, Sponsor Block and uBlock origin.

Could you share the URL of that link? IMO, there should be a better way of presenting that than on the pill bar on the top.

Here’s a non exhaustive list of things I’ve blocked:

• The pill strip on top with a list of video topics (don’t know what the official term is.)
• YouTube shorts suggestions.
• Ads that are injected into the suggestions.
• “Shorts remixing this video” section in the video descriptions.

I’ll perhaps share my ublock filter list for YouTube later.

This plus using ublock to remove useless UI elements makes for a prime disenshittified YouTube experience.

Picarto perhaps. Many NSFW artists use it to stream making NSFW art. Not sure about coding or streaming gameplay but I think it can be used for that as well.
