  • i bought a linux laptop a few years ago from a linux company to take advantage of things like coreboot and it’s had a dramatic impact compared to my windows laptops onto which i installed linux.

i’m in the initial stages of creating a new daily driver and i want to consider compatibility with other projects like this to help me re-acclimate to the general public’s linux user experience, so thanks for sharing and your guess; responses like this are really helpful in getting me back into this groove.

i used to live in texas and every time i both didn’t qualify for mail in voting and the hours long wait at the ballot place turned me away despite my best efforts. (i wish that portable personal urinals with privacy and dinner delivery to polling places with garbage cleanup were things).

i live in an affluent area of a blue state now like i used to and i plan on voting since i know i’ll be in and out in less than 5 minutes like i was in the past.

i’m going to vote third party to show that i’m not onboard w a genocide committed by the same system & people that genocided my ancestors out of existence in this country.

I think it’s a format that can make sense especially if there’s a broad range of specific communities around a central topic…

I think that’s how lemmy got started: It’s like reddit’s leftist subs like r/communism; r/socialism & r/anarchy created the lemmyverse and the idealogical clash with reddit’s refugee & moonlighting users seems to induce centralization for those users into a few heavily centralized instances that cannibalizes smaller instances that were created to be alternatives to the ones made by leftists; hence the deactivation of instances like lemmy.film and the multitudes of mostly inactive duplicate communities.

Probably not, but at least olive oil doesn’t cause climate change and can be grown in most places w horticultural technological assistance instead of concentrated patches with future genocide survivors living above them.
