I wonder if you can run it off any USB C PD that will do 100w+ without buying the battery pack. I know my MBP USB C power supply does at least 100, if not more on MagSafe.

Pretty much we are a corporate welfare state at this point. Electing officials you think will pass or enforce laws to bring them to heel is your best bet. (People like AOC are preferred, as she has never accepted contributions from corporations to her campaign.)

As an example of this, I believe SexyCyborg got in trouble for reporting on leaks via people’s 3rd party Chinese language keyboards. So her theory is that the keyboard apps people had installed leaked data when Hong Kong protesters were communicating with the press, rather than the actual Signal app. But… as stated above, people have to take responsibility for their device and in this case, they had chosen to install apps with leak issues into the communication process.

Probably my yahoo mail account. I’ve mostly transitioned off it, but a few things still come to it and it predates even my gmail account (which I barely ever use either). Apple ID’s Hide My Email ability has basically rendered all the other ones pointless though since I can just generate a new fake email address whenever I want to register for something fishy. I wish phone numbers worked the same way.

These are a bit unique from the lists everyone else has, I think:

• Lemmy Keyboard Navigation (like the kbd shortcuts from RES)
• Google Popup Blocker (stop the annoying log in with Google popups everywhere on the web)
• OneTab (this one lets you collapse a whole window of tabs down into a list in the OneTab tab that you can later reexpand into a window again when you re-attack whatever subject all the tabs were about)

Hopefully, citizen petitions are allowed on the ballot in your state, because it’s a fairly easy one to get on the ballot that way—a ton of people want it. Otherwise you’ll have to lobby your state congress critters, which unfortunately is not as easy…

Let’s put it this way, as long as Trump doesn’t win, I’m fine with the result. But given that the only viable candidate right now is Biden, or possibly Kamala Harris, who is already on the ticket anyway, I’ll be voting Biden simply to insure that Trump doesn’t win.

And if you think there isn’t that much difference between the two, read some summaries of what Trump plans to do via Project 2025.

OK, so you can criticize real good. What’s your actual, legal plan to switch Democratic candidates at such a late date? Everyone loves to criticize Biden and play fantasy football about who they would pick, but as near as I can tell, the only other person who could legally be chosen is Kamala Harris.

Who is already on the ticket and will take over if something does happen to Biden. Oh, and if you think putting a black, female candidate up against Trump is suddenly going to win hearts and minds, then I have a Nigerian prince I’d like to put you in touch with for a small finders fee.

I believe in AZ it is on the ballot as a petition-based initiative in November. Because the Republican-majority congress wants nothing to do with it.

Seriously though, he’s had a ridiculous congress to attempt to work with and he’s still gotten quite a few things done. Restarted FCC and FDA at their jobs of actually regulating. Infrastructure bills. Student loan relief. Airline accountability. Wiping out non-compete clauses by companies. Huge economic recovery from the hole Trump had dug for us.
