Or that we are all refugees and are just tired of enshitification.
I thought ‘Children of the mind’ was good, could have been merged with Xenocide.
Whatever you do, stay away from ‘The Last Shadow’. What a terrible way to finish a series.
'I be crazy too, little buddy, but at least when I be craziest, I be floating all alone in space and the crazy, she float out of me, she soak into the walls, and she don’t come out till there be battles and little boys bump into the walls and squish out de crazy.’
A traffic jam when you’re already late
Year of the Linux Desktop may never be a relevant measure, but it was Steam Deck and Proton that marked the transition for me.
The deck is awesome because it’s Linux
Have you looked into bone conduction headphones?
Fidelity goes up (!) when you plug your ears. I use them in server rooms and on my bike (sans the earplugs).
Aftershocks is a good brand, basically anything with a titanium band.
Wait, is this real? Is our concept of a modern school built on a movement based in Anarchy, Libertarianism, and rationalism?
Quite the rabbit hole here…
Everyone says ‘listen’ but I would suggest one way to act on that advice. This is more of a general parenting advice for small kids (or all kids?).
Let them choose what to do. If their interested in soccer, give that a try. If they want to learn about ants, let them observe, guide them through the thoughts.
Play is dictated by their interests, not your expectations or dreams. This way there is much less struggle, save for the times you really need, and learning and play get tied together.
Wow, collapse OS is quite the rabbit hole. Makes me think of the bootstrapping work described in https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Children_of_the_Sky

I doubt this announcement is going to affect the calculators, but it’s amazing to see how many things still run off this technology.

A friend of mine mentioned ‘Contact’ was the perfect film. I thought about it for some time and found that I agree. The plot, casting, filmography, and score are all top notch.
Beyond favorite there are quite a few films I consider ‘done’ we don’t need sequels or remakes. Most recently the original ‘Willy Wonka’ came to mind.
Was going to recommend this too. Sometimes Google integration just works. Wish they kept the “don’t be evil” ethos.
Last I heard Iran was aware the weapons it sent were going to be intercepted. Kinda a saving face thing.

While I find the Canadian tuxedo slightly dubious male fashion advice, I enjoy the conversation and would also like to know
It depends on the brand. Western rice cookers have a keep warm feature that I wouldn’t trust.
Zorushi and Cuckoo that keep the rice under pressure at around 140F will keep for 2-3 days. https://kitchencuddle.com/rice-cookers-that-keep-rice-warm-for-days/
Yeah, a week is really pushing it, I think I just remembered wrong.
Get a good pressure rice cooker. These are meant to let you leave the rice warm inside for about up to a week. Game changer and always have rice on hand.

I really enjoy listening to this guy, he really explains the details about graphics in an easily accessible way.
