I can already imagine the Tom Clancy thriller where some Joe Nobody gets roped into helping crack a terrorist’s locked phone because his face looks just like the terrorist’s.

Which part of diversity, equity and inclusion are you opposed to? Or do the quotes mean that Ubisoft is doing something nefarious in the name of DEI and I’m out of the loop?
Whistle goes, “Woo, woo,” but that’s only in the mo’ning.
Ah yes, story we hear every week outta murica, them white folks, shooting their automatic assault rifles at the cops and getting away with it
I’m not saying it’s the same but the Bundy standoff comes to mind as a recent example where a buncha good ol’ white boys barricaded themselves in a compound, and they weren’t bombed. They didn’t fire upon cops but they did imply that they were ready to if they were raided.
I thought the Boring Company was more about pretending to want to dig holes to stifle public transit in order to bolster EV sales… Am I mistaken?
$100/pop on eBay. At the time, Hotmail inboxes had a storage limit of 2 MB.
The imaged is cropped, but cropping doesn’t remove the context of the image, and it isn’t worth the risk of making women feel less welcome in tech, which is a big problem already.
If I may, why is it so important to you that the image continues to be used over other images, against the wishes of Lena and IEEE?
If you think this is about an exposed shoulder, you missed the point.
I refuse to pay for pirated content out of principal. It’s bad enough that I’m infringing copyright (and boy do I!) but commercialized piracy rubs me the wrong way. I even prefer Bittorrent over Usenet and FOSS media software over commercial software. Yarr!
I have a paralegal who can find a citation for that. $500/hr plus expenses.
Some artists in the punk scene are putting out cassettes.
I remember when reddit ads were off to the side and unobtrusive, and often had games or jokes in that space to encourage you to allow reddit past your ad blocker.
Times have changed…
My 3080 Ti could definitely burninate some villagers if harnessed correctly.
Runs a bit hot though.
Login to view started before Musk took over, FYI. I distinctly remember avoiding Twitter to spite them in those days.
Just catch a faster train!
I second the Steelcase Leap if only for cost reasons, since it’s an office staple and could be found all day for around $200 in decent shape (vs. $1000 new) and unlike the Herman Miller competition, the Steelcase Leap v2 is one size fits all with fewer if any optional accessories, making buying one used incredibly simple.
I miss the form factor off my HTC Desire Z (T-Mobile G2 for Americans). It had a neat, flip-out keyboard, swappable batteries, and a compact, 3.7 inch display.
I don’t think there’s any need to be snide about this comment. A 2015 Honda Civic is objectively superior in almost every way to a 1967 Corvette, but the 'vette is inherently cooler in a way that the Civic will never be. It’s just nostalgia for a bygone era, that’s all.
IPTV is the name of the pirated cable TV streams. Personally, I consider commercialized piracy to be a bit distasteful compared to the free and open source route, and I have the know how to self host my own streaming service.
Although it’s not piracy, another free option to consider for live TV, if you’re within range of TV broadcasters, is a digital TV antenna. I’m looking into that since not only is it free and legal, it’s also the best picture quality, not compressed like IPTV (legit or pirated) or even cable.
