I would be voting for the better GOP candidate in the primary hoping they win, and likely the Dem come general election, but since I’m in a red area I’d expect the Dem to lose but maybe help pick the lesser of two evils for the GOP?

I’ve been considering changing my registration to Republican specifically for primaries. I’m in SD, and the Republican almost always wins so I feel I’d have more impact trying to push the right left and can still vote however I want in the general.
Isn’t it dumb that if I Google “Amazon” the top result is their ad and the next is the same link without the ad? Would make way more sense for the Amazon’s ad to be the top result if I googled “Wal-Mart”
Like a random intrusive ad? No, but when I Google something simply to go to their website and their ad is the top result I often decide if I like them more or less than Google before deciding to click the ad link vs the regular search link (I assume they pay Google a little extra for ad clicks). Amazon gets the ad click most others do not.
Always have to vote for the furthest left that has a chance to win and hope enough others follow suit. Our system sucks, but the biggest thing holding us back is how far right the country currently is. Even though depressing, your attitude is currently our best shot and I appreciate that you’re one of the seemingly few on this platform willing to voice it.
I may have missed it in another comment, but I believe part of it is the cost of lives. During the space race someone dying would’ve just been part of the risk. Now we are using more automation and a human fatality might risk a company’s ability to continue its pursuit.
What am I if I know what it means but didn’t think it was worth a laugh?
I like your idea of reversing the question. On their own I’m not big on sour cream or mayonnaise, but either of them mixed together with the right seasonings or sometimes even together with some seasoning and I can’t get enough. Mayo is nasty, but a garlic aioli? Fricken great. Plain sour cream? A tad on a baked potato is fine, but a chipotle lime crema? I might lick that up off the floor…
Gimmelwald Switzerland, but I’ve been there a few times and the pretense was never being there lol
The vacuum only caused issues sometimes, probably a proximity correlation but I was too young to piece that info together
The random one that I remember and don’t see anywhere, is the tv getting staticky whenever we ran the microwave
My issue is I want to complete all the side quests but don’t want to save them till the end so I try to mix them in as I go, slowly start to lose interest in the game and even tho I put in 150 plus hours I never finish the main story line…
Might miss out on a one time deal that locks your price for a year, but even if its fifteen bucks for a month to catch up on things I want to watch I’m fine switching services each month.
Just get the service for a month and drop it after catching up on the things you want. I keep it so I can watch bluey with my daughter, but I rotate most of my services.
So what is the best way to actually own music? I miss having a physical file I could put wherever and listen to anywhere, but haven’t resorted to pirating anything since limewire
That last part is key, higher max table comes with a higher minimum bet so the ratio stays roughly the same. I suppose you could move tables as your bet needed to increase and switch back to the low table if you manage to win one making cash reserves the main limiting factor, but I’ve always envisioned the table rules are set in a way to prevent someone with deep pockets from exploiting strategies
I didn’t get through all the comments, but most of the top ones and haven’t yet seen the most basic casino check to stop these strategies is a table maximum. Same with doubling your bet each hand you lose at black jack, one bad run and you hit table max and you can’t raise your bet far enough
How can anything in this country have 24 percent of one side support and only end up at 54 percent of the total? Should be closer to 70 if that’s true. I guess somehow miraculously we never get more than 55 percent support for anything, but this stat sounds as inaccurate as me making up: 51 percent of Americans are pro choice including 20 percent of Republicans
I read “cat” instead of car and thought it was a pretty great meme for a moment
If you lived somewhere where the GOP candidate is going to get 65 percent of the vote basically no matter what, and in the GOP primary you had an incumbent, somewhat average, right wing conservative that you’ve seen work across the aisle in the state legislator ruining against a hard core maga nut job, anti vaccine, anti public schools, openly racist etc. Do you think registering as a Republican to vote for the incumbent in that primary sounds like an okay idea? You can still vote for the Democrat and make your voice heard there at the general election even though it’s essentially guaranteed he loses.
Or is the argument against this that if the crazy maga guy wins the primary there’s a slightly better chance the Democrat can win? I’d call it unlikely where I’m at, but could see tighter districts working that way.
