The first episodes just gave me existential dread every time haha. So I was glad when they “softened up” after a while. But in hindsight, you’re right, the end of season 1 got somewhat stereotypical. I wonder if season 2 will be better.

Anime:

• Pluto (Dark alternative story of Astro Boy)
• Banana Fish (heartbreaking, hard to forget. Don’t get spoiled too much looking it up)
• Heavenly Delusion (brother gets brain transplanted into dead sisters body; interesting plot and characters but only one season so far)

Cartoon:

• Bojack Horseman (great mix of realistic depiction of depression and comedy)
• Arcane (almost makes one want to play League)

TV:

• Atlanta (surrealism and critique of society, also I just love Donald Glover)
• Dark (the one German show that is not ass)
• The Expanse (great sci-fi and politics, only gets weaker in the later seasons)
• Severance (one big black mirror episode, I am so hyped for season 2)

I use tailscale for hosting gameservers for friends and the occasional watch together on jellyfin. Kinda scuffed setup with one burner github account for login. And ~10 devices connected to that network. So I need to authenticate every device myself (at the beginning and sporadically) but I don’t need to pay Tailscale for adding multiple accounts to the network.

At the beginning I tried to do set up everything with my own wireguard server. I only have a public v6 IP, so some of my friends connected without problems and for some it would not work. After I think 3h helping them in their router settings I just gave up. I looked up if I could rent a service somewhere that gives me a public Ipv4 relay, found Tailscale instead and stopped looking for something else haha. Sometimes it’s not worth the effort.

It uses PimEyes which I find absolutely terrifying. Found photos of myself when I was a child on some obscure newspaper article (or article archive?) with a current photo of myself (at least 10 years apart). I knew of course before that state actors definitely are able to use stuff like this but I don’t like that everyone willing to pay can just find out who you are.

Mine work for I think over 10 years now. Some of the actual LEDs inside died but you don’t really notice 1-2 of 200 inside the bulb being dark.

Feels like the user base has usually more refined opinions on movies, but I couldn’t bring myself to use them, since I probably watch 10 shows for every movie, and fragmenting my bases further didn’t feel right.
