Donald Trump doesn’t easily forgive or forget.
As Trump’s Republican allies in the United States Congress block military aid that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Kyiv desperately needs to avoid defeat in its war with invading Russian forces, it’s clear the former U.S. president’s ill will toward Ukraine has deep roots.
It was, after all, a phone call with Zelenskyy that led to Trump’s first impeachment in December 2019, after he was accused of seeking to influence the 2020 election by leaning on the Ukrainian leader to investigate current President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
People want to live. Politicians want to play geopolitcs.
Who are they? Nobody gives a choice to Ukrainians, and those who dare to say something against the government are sent to die.
Whose choice to defend their nation? The politicians? People are being kidnapped from the streets, and against their will sent to the army. Do you call this a choice?
Exactly, I would be helping them to put out the fire (end the conflict), instead of pouring gasoline on it (supporting the government that refuses to negotiate, and murders hundreds of thousands of people).
No, supporting and encouraging a government which refuses to negotiate and sends people to their deaths is what getting them killed.
