Correct. Good thing that my comment was a hyperbolic denunciation of a clear pattern of actual attitudes and behaviors rather than a blame shifting strawman like the one I was replying to.

And you’re thus continuing to be wrong.

Deliberate and obvious hyperbole to emphasize a valid point is NOT a strawman, nor is it equivalent.

You think if you can justify a strawman, it isn’t one.

              That’s not how it works.

…are you going for a record in hypocrisy and stubborn ignorance or something?

What you just said was a strawman in defense of a categorically false claim.

First off, with all this philosophy larping, there’s a thing called “the fallacy fallacy”, which states it’ fallacious to imply someone is wrong simply because their logic was fallacious.

Secondly, me reminding you of how these things work doesn’t mean I’m suddenly “defending a false claim”, especially not with strawmen.

It is, however, never a fallacy to point out that a fallacious accusation of fallacy is false. Now say that three times quickly.

Secondly, me reminding you of how these things work doesn’t mean I’m suddenly “defending a false claim”, especially not with strawmen.

It is when, as in this case, are wrong about “how these things work” and also about what’s even going on. Just take the L and move on, dude. We’ve both wasted far too much time on your bullshit already.
