Hello! Migrated over to Lemmy. I’ve noticed in the past few weeks a lot of posts/comments about protests, criticizing Nazis and Elon being censored/removed. This was all magnified in the past few hours as /r/whitepeopletwitter was banned tonight to satisfy fElon.

if I wasn’t a mod of a subreddit I’d consider deleting it entirely. definitely going to limit my use permanently after reading this, Fuck Elon.

I left my subreddit of 10 million users behind when it became apparent that spez isnt better than musk.

      Get a grip.

I have commitments, plus the community which I’m working on a game for I interact with is only on reddit primarily.

You do you. A lot of people here are probably bullshitting themselves; and honestly, leaving will only exacerbate the problem of media silos. They want to take over Reddit and turn it into another X when there it still has a massive Anti-Trump presence, evidently by this sub getting temp-banned.

yeah I like interacting isolated with the three communities I still consider normal hobby wise, once everything dries up though I would leave then, otherwise this is still my main interaction outlet so far.

Those commitments are ephemeral at best and can also be recreated over here. I’m using Voyager and honestly it feels no different than being on Reddit from a UI. People are moving to Mastadon, BlueSky, PixelFeed and others so it’s already been proven it’s not too hard to move.
